Single Vehicle Accident Injures Iuka Man

By Garrett Ford, WJBD News

A one-vehicle accident sent a 23-year-old Iuka man to the hospital Wednesday night.  Marion County Sheriff's Department accident reports say the Chevy Camaro driven by Reath Kameron Branson of Omega Road was found resting on its top in a field northwest of the Walnut Hill Road and Snow Road intersection.  Reports indicate Branson had no recollection of the accident.  The responding deputy observed loose gravel on the road near the accident site.  According to the deputy, the car most likely flipped at least once before striking a tree and coming to rest on its top.  Branson had to be extricated from the vehicle.  He was taken by ambulance to St. Mary's Hospital in Centralia.  He was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.  The wreck occurred around 9:15 PM Wednesday.
