Semi Overturns on I-57 Near Kinmundy, Blocking Both Northbound LanesThe driver and passenger in a semi were injured when the truck went out of control on Interstate 57 two miles south of the Kinmundy exit early Saturday morning.
State Police say the driver, 47-year-old James Wesley Bunce of Troutman, North Carolina, was southbound when he drove through the median and overturned in the northbound lanes of I-57. The overturned truck blocked traffic in both northbound lanes until the wreck was cleaned up.
Both Bunce and a passenger in the semi, 49-year-old Timothy Schield of Portsmouth, Virginia, were both taken to Salem Township Hospital for treatment of major injuries.
Bunce was ticketed for improper lane usage. The crash occurred at 1:45 Saturday morning.
