Salem to Host Senior Health and Information FairA free Health and Information Fair for area seniors will take place at the Salem Community Center on Tuesday, July 23rd. The event will be hosted by State Senator Kyle McCarter along with State Representative John Cavaletto.
The event includes a number of free health services available to seniors such as a Diabetes test, blood pressure tests, Pulse Oxymetry , Salt Reduction Awareness, Body Mass Index testing, Macular Degeneration and Glaucoma screenings. In addition to the services, a variety of healthcare professionals, including an OBGYN and mental health expert will be on hand to answer any questions attendees may have.
Attendees will also learn about insurance options, financial fraud protection, and get information on amplified telephones as well as check the State Treasurers I-CASH Computer for unclaimed property.
The event will take place between 9am - 11am at the center, located at 417 Oglesby Avenue in Salem.
Refreshments will be availiable.
