Salem Woman Escapes Serious Injury In One Car Crash

A 23-year-old Salem woman escaped serious injury after her car hit an icy spot on the Kinlou Road in rural Kinmundy Tuesday afternoon and ran off the road.  Marion County Sheriff's Deputies say Linnsey Bookhout of the Selmaville Road traveled through the roadside ditch and rolled over before her car came to rest on its wheels in a field.  The wreck occurred near the Ausierker Road intersection west of Interstate 57.  Bookhout was out of the car on her own when deputies arrived.   Kinmundy-Alma emergency medical technicians were called to the scene, but Bookhout refused medical treatment.  There were no passengers in the vehicle.  The wreck occurred at 12:32 Tuesday afternoon.
