Salem To Flush Fire Hydrants Next Two WeeksThe City of Salem Department of Public Works has announced they will begin flushing fire hydrants on the north end of town on Monday, July 15th, 2013.
The flushing will continue south until all hydrants have been exercised. The entire process is expected to take approximately two weeks.
Water may be discolored for a few days but will remain safe to drink. Customers are reminded not to wash white or light colored clothing while water is discolored.
