Salem Police are investigating two overnight vehicle burglaries and a criminal damage to property complaint.

Police report the two vehicles were entered while parked in the 14-hundred block of Rig Street.   Jacob Hockett of Branch Road in Salem reported CD's, binoculars, and a small amount of cash stolen.  Erin Garden of Rigg Street reported a small amount of cash taken from her car.

Police were called to Discount Tobacco at 14-19 West Main early Thursday morning to a report of glass broken out of the front door. No entry was apparently gained.

Police have also been notified of an electric loop being pulled out at Salem Auto on Westgate Avenue.  No damage was reported.
