Salem Police Believe Friday Burglary Solved With Two Arrests

By Bruce Kropp, WJBD News

Salem Police have arrested two teens for a Friday burglary at the apartment of Cynthia Green in the 800 block of Senneff Street.

19-year-old Timothy Howard of North Miller in Salem is being held in the Marion County Jail for alleged burglary and criminal damage to property.  A 16-year-old juvenile boy from Salem was released to the custody of his parents.

Salem Police say Green had first learned from others in her neighborhood that the 16-year-old boy was involved in the burglary.  She reportedly confronted him and he allegedly admitted his involvement.  Green then called police who learned Howard was also allegedly involved.  In addition the burglary, Howard was charged with damaging trimming around a window getting into the apartment.  Howard was arrested at his home Saturday without incident.

Police report the jewelry and CD's taken from the home have been recovered.
