Salem Man Charged With Two Counts of Aggravated Criminal Sexual Abuse
Bradley Gibson of South Jefferson is accused of committing sex acts with a 13 to 17 year old boy. Both charges state the abuse allegedly occurred from May 12th of last year to March 13th this year.
Bond was set at $50,000. If released on bond, Gibson was ordered to have no contact with the victim, who police described as a family friend.
Salem Police were requested to accompany an investigator from the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services to pick up Gibson Thursday afternoon. Police report a school official had earlier notified the Department of Children and Family Services after the boy confided what happened to a school official.
Salem Police say the investigation by DCFS and the department is continuing.
