Salem Man Charged With Two Counts of Aggravated Criminal Sexual AbuseA 41-year-old Salem man has been formally charged in Marion County Court with two counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse.
Bradley Gibson of South Jefferson is accused of committing sex acts with a 13 to 17 year old boy. Both charges state the abuse allegedly occurred from May 12th of last year to March 13th this year.
Bond was set at $50,000. If released on bond, Gibson was ordered to have no contact with the victim, who police described as a family friend.
Salem Police were requested to accompany an investigator from the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services to pick up Gibson Thursday afternoon. Police report a school official had earlier notified the Department of Children and Family Services after the boy confided what happened to a school official.
