Salem High School Blood Drive on FridayThe American Red Cross will be hosting a blood drive at Salem Community High School on Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The blood drive is a part of the Young Minds Change Lives High School Scholarship Program. The program rewards high schools that encourage presenting donors to visit their blood drives during the academic year
Based on the units of blood collected at a school's Red Cross blood drive held during the school year, a scholarship will be awarded to a student at the school, chosen by school representatives. In addition, presenting donors at all Red Cross blood drives held at high school campuses through May 31st, 2013, will receive a scratch code-card with a unique pin number to redeem at redcrossblood.org/empower for a prize such as free music downloads and Red Cross gear.
To make an appointment to donate blood, visit redcrossblood.org or call 1-800-RED CROSS.
