Salem City Officials: Avoid Using South College From Kell to Lake StreetSalem City Officials say the pavement on South College Street from Kell to Lake Street is extremely rough after being milled Monday in anticipation of being resurfaced later this week.
If you normally travel that portion of South College, city officials suggest you take another route. They report travel is only possible at a speed of about ten miles an hour. However, all residents can still reach their homes.
More milling work is planned for Tuesday. South College from Lake to Kell will once again be closed to all through traffic from seven to three on Tuesday. Similar daytime closures are anticipated for Wednesday and Thursday. Residents will be able to reach their homes during construction hours, but there could be some short delays.
