Rural Salem Home Damaged by FireSalem Firemen are still investigating the cause of a fire that damaged a ten by ten foot section of the outside wall of a home occupied by the Durmond Smith family at 4871 Quail Run Road in Salem.
Firemen report flames were shooting from the wall upon their arrival at three Thursday afternoon. There was also some smoke damage inside the home. A passerby and Smith discovered the fire at about the same time.
Salem Firemen, with mutual aide assistance from Odin, were on the scene for about an hour.
The home is owned by Charles Weems of Salem.
