Rural Iuka Man Found Dead On Floor of His Home
The Marion County Coroner's Office is investigating the death of a 54-year-old rural Iuka man found on the floor of his home Monday morning.Coroner Troy Cannon reports Guy Rezzardi of Green Road was found by a neighbor who was asked to check on Rezzardi when Rezzardi's wife could not get him to answer the phone. Once the neighbor saw Rezzardi laying on the floor, a 9-1-1 call was placed. The sheriff's department and coroner responded. Rezzardi was prounouced dead on the scene at 8:11 Monday morning.
Cannon believes toxicology samples will be able to determine Rezzardi's cause of death when they are returned in four to six weeks. Cannon says it appears Rezzardi had died sometime on Sunday. Cannon says there are no signs of foul play.
Rezzardi's wife was out of state at the time she made the call to her neighbor to check on her husband.
