Rear End Crash In Salem Sends Two To The Hospital

By Bruce Kropp, WJBD News

Both drivers were injured in a two vehicle crash at North College and Allmon Street in Salem late Monday afternoon.

Salem Police say a northbound car on College Street driven by 17-year-old Jansen Brooks of Hester Lane in Salem ran into the rear of a car in front of her driven by 65-year-old Rita Walker of West Whitaker in Salem.  Walker had slowed to make a left turn just before the wreck occurred.  Hester and Walker were taken to Salem Township Hospital for treatment.

Hester was ticketed for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident. The wreck occurred at 4:48 Monday afternoon.
