Portion of South College Street To Be Closed Again on FridaySalem Public Works Director John Pruden reports South College Street will be closed between Blair and Lake Streets for most of the day Friday.
The closure is needed for crews to be able to bore water service laterals to provide water service to residents along South College from a recently installed waterline. Pruden says crews will begin work around 7:30 Friday morning. The closure is expected to last until about four in the afternoon.
South College was also closed to traffic on Wednesday for the boring work.
Pruden says no one in the area should lose water pressure as a result of the work and no boil order will be needed.
