Police Beat for Wednesday, May 15th, 2013Salem Police are investigating two burglaries reported Tuesday morning. Larry Guess of Prairieview Drive reported his truck was entered sometime before Tuesday morning and a GPS and flashlight were stolen. Project Bread reported their bus parked at the Salem Business Center South was broken into sometime before Tuesday morning. A fire extinguisher was stolen.
The Marion County Sheriff's Department is investigating the theft of a CB radio from a truck parked Monday night and early Tuesday morning at Carpenter Lumber on Route 161 East of Centralia.
The sheriff's department has received a report of an alto saxaphone missing from the Michael Birkner home on North Beech Street northwest of Centralia. Birkner last saw the saxaphone last week. It is valued at $2,200.
