Police Beat for Wednesday, May 15th, 2013

Salem Police are investigating two burglaries reported Tuesday morning.  Larry Guess of Prairieview Drive reported his truck was entered sometime before Tuesday morning and a GPS and flashlight were stolen.  Project Bread reported their bus parked at the Salem Business Center South was broken into sometime before Tuesday morning.  A fire extinguisher was stolen.

The Marion County Sheriff's Department is investigating the theft of a CB radio from a truck parked Monday night and early Tuesday morning at Carpenter Lumber on Route 161 East of Centralia.

The sheriff's department has received a report of an alto saxaphone missing from the Michael Birkner home on North Beech Street northwest of Centralia.  Birkner last saw the saxaphone last week.  It is valued at $2,200.
