Police Beat for Tuesday, September 24th, 2013Three people remained in custody at the Marion County Jail Tuesday morning on outstanding warrants. 52-year-old Frank Smith of Carthage, Missouri turned himself in on an outstanding felony warrant for failure to appear in court for non-payment of child support. Bond on the warrant has been set at $10,000. 30-year-old Stacey Lee Hanham of South Cherry in Centralia remains in jail after being arrested by Centralia Police on an outstanding felony failure to appear in court warrant. Bond on the warrant is set at $5,000. 37-year-old Donald Declue of Gilmore Street in Wamac is being held on an outstanding DUI warrant.
A 34-year-old Salem man posted $400 bond after being arrested at the courthouse by sheriff's deputies for contempt of court. Jason Roddy of East Clark allegedly told Judge Robin Todd during a court hearing in a divorce case that he had no intention of following a court order directing him to pay his ex-wife's attorney fees.
Salem Police are investigating a motor vehicle burglary. Abigail Hawkins of Bason Road in Salem reported her purse stolen at one of several locations where she was looking at houses.
