Police Beat for Tuesday, February 12th, 2013
A 36-year-old Kinmundy man has been arrested by Kinmundy Police on felony theft and forgery charges. Jay Clasper of North Lincoln is accused of forging and cashing two checks on checks stolen from Janice Winks for a total of $800.
48-year-old Lawanda Barnes of North Elm in Centralia was arrested by Centralia Police for violation of bail bond, criminal trespass to state supported property and on an outstanding Marion County misdemeanor warrant. Barnes was arrested after allegedly going on Marion County Housing Authority property where she had earlier been barred.
21-year-old Nathan Hill of Robin Road in Salem posted $300 bond and was released after being arrested on an outstanding traffic warrant.
Salem Police are investigating a vehicle burglary. Steve Purcell of the 100 block of Woodland Drive in Salem reported power tools stolen from his truck.
