Police Beat for Thursday, September 5th, 2013A 51-year-old Salem man who disappeared while on the Marion County Drug Court program has been arrested in Oklahoma. Sheriff's Deputies say Gregory Houston was returned to the Marion County Jail early Thursday morning after being taken into custody for failure to appear in court on the original charge against him of meth manufacturing. Bond on the warrant was set at $100,000. Houston had pleaded guilty to the charge in order to get into drug court.
A 36-year-old Junction City man has been arrested for misdemeanor theft after allegedly taking old paper currency from his father-in-law's home. Jesse Frank of East Ninth was arrested after some of the money was allegedly used to purchase alcohol at the Sandoval Casey's store in Sandoval on Wednesday. The owner of the old currency, Danny Erwin of Junction City, was uncertain how much money was taken. Deputies say the two live next door to each other.
41-year-old Michael Keeler of Saddler Street in Centralia was arrested by Centralia Police on an outstanding misdemeanor warrant. He remained in custody Thursday morning.
