Police Beat for Thursday, June 13th, 2013A 19-year-old Louisville man has been arrested by State Conservation Police for no mandatory vehicle insurance and on an outstanding Effingham County traffic warrant. Ryan Schilling of East Chestnut remained in the Marion County Jail Thursday morning.
53-year-old Thomas Lytle of East Gragg Street in Centralia remained in jail after being arrested on an outstanding warrant for failure to appear in a driving under the influence case.
61-year-old Ricky Huene of Sinclair Road in Kinmundy was in custody after being arrested by Kinmundy Police for driving on a suspended license.
The Salem Fire Protection District reported they did not find the source of a smoke smell at the Angela Thompson home at 18-29 Yards Road in rural Salem. They were called to the residence at ten Thursday night.
