Police Beat for Sunday, June 30th, 2013A 35-year-old Junction City man is being held in the Marion County Jail for possession of a controlled substance. Donald Whiteley of Polk Avenue was taken into custody by sheriff's deputies after they received permission to search his home and allegedly found a rock of crack cocaine in a plastic baggie in an ash tray. Deputies had earlier searched Whiteley's car following a traffic stop. While some baggies were found, there were no drugs. However, based on the finding deputies asked to search Whiteley's home.
24-year-old Donald Callender of Bell Club Road in Centralia remained in jail Sunday morning for alleged violation of an order of protection. He was arrested by Salem Police.
43-year-old Marcus Jones of Broadway in Centralia was arrested by Centralia Police on an ordinance violation warrant.
