Marion County Sheriff's Deputies arrested both occupants of a car that ran off the Jezek Road in rural Alma into the roadside ditch early Saturday morning. The driver, 21-year-old Kelsey Hess of Bee Branch Road in Salem, was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol. A passenger, 20-year-old Brett Hall of Public Street in Alma, was ticketed for possession of liquor by a minor and resisting a peace officer. Neither was injured in the wreck. Sheriff's deputies were notified of the accident at 3:27 Saturday morning after they went to a nearby home to seek help.
18-year-old Jordan Mathis of Lincoln Street in Centralia remained in the Marion County Jail Saturday on a probation violation.
22-year-old Rachel Reeve of North Lincoln in Centralia posted $400 bond and was released after being arrested by Central City Police on an outstanding warrant.
The Marion County Sheriff's Department is investigating the theft of two big wheels that came off of a farm drill from the driveway of the Fred Tucker home on Mercer Lane in Centralia. Tucker also reported his shed and driveway were spray painted.
