Police Beat for Monday, February 11th, 2013
A 19-year-old Salem man was being held in the Marion County Jail Monday after being arrested by sheriff's deputies for driving under the influence of drugs and possession of cannabis. Antonio Crossland of Harris Road was initially stopped on Route 37 near England Road south of Salem after crossing the centerline. Crossland allegedly admitted smoking cannabis and a small package of cannabis was found in the front seat.23-year-old Samantha Pepos of Ridgeland Drive in Dix was arrested by Centralia Police for alleged domestic battery. She is accused of striking Victor Jenkins in the face and neck following an incident at Jenkins apartment on Fairway Drive.
27-year-old Danielle Johnson of South Brookside in Centralia remained in custody on an outstanding felony warrant.
26-year-old Audrey Lynn McCommack of Fair Drive in Flora was arrested for the second time this weekend by Kinmundy Police for driving on a suspended license. She was released after posting $150 bond. McCommack was also arrested on Friday.
34-year-old Jamie Lynn Stark of Jefferson Street in Vandalia posted $300 bond and was released after being arrested by sheriff's deputies for operating a motor vehicle with suspended registration.
24-year-old Charles Allison Junior of Ruble Lane in Salem posted $100 bond and was released after being arrested by Central City Police on a Marion County divorce warrant.
