Police Beat for Monday, December 3rd, 2012

A 23-year-old Salem man has been arrested by Salem Police for violation of a stalking no contact order warrant and on an Illinois Department of Corrections parole hold.  Jerrad Middleton of England Road was picked up at the Continental Motel on East Main and taken to the Marion County Jail after police were tipped to his location.  

A Vandalia man, Shawn Wheat of West St. Louis Street, posted $150 bond and was released after being arrested by sheriff's deputies for driving on a suspended license.

The Marion County Sheriff's Department is investigating a burglary and vandalism to a vehicle in Sandoval.  Kerri Jo Mullins of North Fayette Street reported nothing appeared to have been removed from the vehicle.  The tires were slashed.
