Police Beat for Monday, April 29th, 2013A 26-year-old Salem man remains in the Marion County Jail in lieu of $5,000 bond after being arrested Sunday on an outstanding felony failure to appear warrant in a forgery case. Matthew Nehrt of West Main was arrested by Centralia Police.
Two others remain in jail Monday morning on outstanding warrants. 28-year-old Nahseekah Johnson of North Pine in Centralia is being held on an ordinance violation warrant. 37-year-old Calvin Johnson of North Cherry in Centralia was arrested on traffic and ordinance violation warrants. Both were arrested by Centralia Police.
59-year-old Terry Hanks of North Everett in Odin was arrested by sheriff's deputies for battery. He posted $150 bond and was released.
44-year-old Clarence Thompson of Naperville posted $150 bond and was released after being arrested by State Police for driving on a suspended license.
The Marion County Sheriff's Department is investigating the theft of a stereo system from a utility truck owned by Eric Lloyd of Wabash Avenue in Centralia. The theft occurred while the truck was parked off the Bethel Road in Sandoval.
