Police Beat for Friday, July 12th, 2013
Two people remain in custody on outstanding warrants. 36-year-old Seth Lambert of Burks Road in Patoka was arrested by Central City Police on outstanding Marion and Fayette County felony warrants and a Clinton County misdemeanor warrant. 31-year-old Eva Potter of East Oglesby in Salem was arrested by Salem Police for failure to appear on a suspended license.
A 27-year-old Centralia man, Richard Higgins of East Third, posted $250 bond and was released on an outstanding misdemeanor warrant. 21-year-old Mitchell Gross of East Marvin in Central City posted $500 bond and was released on an outstanding traffic failure to appear warrant.
The Marion County Sheriff's Department has two theft reports under investigation. Quentin Metje of Mt. Vernon reported his wallet was stolen form his vehicle while he was at the Forbes State Park Beach Thursday afternoon. Reed Pollard of Basom Road in Salem reported a tiller valued at $300 was stolen from a shed on his property.
Salem Police are investigating the theft of a guitar from the Derrick Walls home on Glenwood Acres. The theft was reported during the noon hour on Thursday.
