A 24-year-old Centralia man was arrested on drug charges as a result of a check by Salem Police Thursday night on a suspicious vehicle.  Salem Police say Dustin Melton of South Franklin was in a car parked with its lights out in the parking lot of the Salem Tire Warehouse on East Main.  He was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and cannabis.  The Marion County K-9 assisted with the arrest.

37-year-old Kenneth Fair Junior of Springfield remained in jail Friday morning after being arrested at the courthouse on Thursday for violation of bail bond.

33-year-old Raymond Selvy of South Lincoln in Centralia is being held on an outstanding misdemeanor warrant.

31-year-old Kenneth Tietsort of East Broadway in Centralia posted $750 bond after turning himself in on an outstanding felony warrant.

32-year Nathan Luke of Pinckneyville posted $500 bond and was released after being arrested on a petition to revoke his probation.

The Marion County Sheriff's Department is investigating an unusual criminal trespass to residence case.  Joe Pemberton of the four-thousand block of Hotze Road in rural Salem reported coming home Thursday night to find someone had been in his house.  Pemberton reported those responsible cooked on the stove, turned up the gas log fireplace, moved the ATV around and turned the radio on in the garage.
