Police Beat for Friday, February 8th, 2013A 44-year-old Centralia man was arrested by Centralia Police Thursday night for alleged forgery and a warrant for failure to appear in court on an assault charge. George Barnes of North Maple was arrested in connection with the alleged cashing of a check stolen from a home on North Elm Street in Centralia last year.
18-year-old Dakota Olson of Condit Street in Centralia was arrested by Centralia Police for failure to register as a sex offender.
Two others were being held on outstanding warrants Friday. 31-year-old Dennis Phillips of Decatur was arrested by sheriff's deputies on an outstanding misdemeanor warrant. 26-year-old Dustin Skurat of South Elm in Centralia is being held on an outstanding traffic warrant.
A 27-year-old Carlyle woman was arrested by Marion County Sheriff's Deputies for alleged driving under the influence after he witnessed her pickup truck spin out. Heather Fleshood of 15th Street reportedly spun out after turning from Commercial Street onto Green Street Road in Central City early Friday morning. Fleshood reportedly accelerated and spun around a second time before continuing eastbound on the Green Street Road where she was stopped. Fleshood later posted $100 bond and was released from the Marion County Jail.
24-year-old Clemon Moore Junior of Carbondale posted $500 bond and was released after being arrested on a petition to revoke his probation.
