Police Beat for Friday, August 15th, 2014Salem Police are investigating a burglary that occurred overnight at DJ's Party Supply at 12-hundred West Main. Police report a side door glass window was broken out to gain entry. Items were taken, but police reports do not yet provide additional details on what was stolen. The burglary was discovered at 6:17 Friday morning.
A 52-year-old Louisville man faces multiple charges following a traffic stop by Salem Police early Friday morning. Michael McCormick was taken to the Marion County Jail for alleged driving under the influence, driving on a revoked license, no valid drivers license and improper lane usage.
Four others remained in custody Friday on outstanding warrants. 31-year-old Josh Robinson of Goodwin Drive in Kinmundy is being held on an outstanding felony warrant. 27-year-old Cody Thompson of Goff Lane in Salem, 34-year-old Casey Bodine of South Sycamore in Centralia, and 20-year-old Brandon Kehn of Tower Road in Richview were all arrested on outstanding misdemeanor warrants.
