One Injured In Car-Bike Accident in Centralia

By Bruce Kropp, WJBD News

A 48-year-old Centralia woman was injured when her bike was struck by a car late Thursday morning at Broadway and Locust in Centralia.

Centralia Police say Annette Ullrich of Centralia was westbound on Broadway when she started into the crosswalk and was struck by an eastbound car making a left turn driven by 38-year-old Deborah Marshall of North Sycamore in Centralia.   The impact knocked Ullrich to the ground.  Police say Ullrich had the right of way.  She was taken to St. Mary's Hospital in Centralia.

Marshall escaped injury.  She was ticketed for failure to yield to a pedestrian.  The accident occurred at 11:09 Thursday morning.
