Odin School Board Approves Personnel Actions Monday Night
The Odin School Board approved several personnel actions at Monday night's board meeting. The Board approved the resignation of crossing guard Jefferson Strauch effective Thursday, February 14th. The Board approved the hiring of crossing guard James Hodge effective Tuesday, 19th. The Board approved the hiring of student custodial worker Levi Loyd effective Tuesday, February 12th. The Board also voted to allow Mrs. Decker to enroll her daughter in Pre-K next year, provided she does not displace another qualified Odin student.
In district news, Superintendent Steve Westrick informed the Board that Michael Hall from the Illinois State Archives Office will be at Odin to explain the process of purging old student records. He also informed the Board that the Illinois Five Essentials Survey has been completed by students in grades six through twelve earlier this month. Over $1,400 has been raised for the Help the Helping Hands fundraiser being conducted at the school. The gundraising goal is $2,000.
