Odin School Board Approves Changes to Student Handbook

The Odin School Board approved changes to their student handbook Tuesday evening.  The Board has added Saturday detention as a consequence and has added the definition of physical aggression to the code of student conduct.  

The Board approved a donation to the Village of Odin for Odin's Family Fun Day that was held on Saturday, September 22nd and in appreciation of the school's use of the ball diamonds and other facilities at Spears Park.  

The Board approved FFA overnight field trips on Friday, October 19th and Saturday, October 20th for a Trap Shooting Contest in Geneseo, Illinois, and on Wednesday, October 24th through the 26 to the National FFA Convention in Indianapolis, IN.  

In other Board action, the Board ratified a contract with Durham Bus Services for certain transportation routes.  The Board approved an increase in the extra-curricular and field trip bus driver pay.  The Board approved the annual ISBE application for recognition of schools.  

In personnel action, the Board hired Jon Wilson as the technology technician.  The Board hired Dani Holthaus as a 6th grade teacher effective immediately.
