Odin Man Arrested for Aggravated Battery to a Child

A 34-year-old rural Odin man is being held in the Marion County Jail for aggravated battery to a child.  Charles Royal of Community Beach Road was arrested following an investigation that began when Central City School officials noticed bruises on Royal's five-year-old daughter.  The incident reportedly occurred at the young girl's home.  The State Department of Children and Family Services led the investigation.  Royal was arrested by sheriff's deputies.
