Odin Firemen's Picnic Underway For the Weekend

The Odin Fireman's Picnic opened Thursday night and concludes Saturday night with a fireworks display at ten.  

Assistant Fire Chief Claude Howell says you'll find plenty of food and fun activities in the Odin Park.  "The carnival will be out there, Thursday, Friday and Saturday.  Arm bands will be available each night. The fire department will give a bicycle each night. All kinds of food.  Fireworks are on Saturday.  A wonderful car show on Friday," said Howell.

 

The midway by H and H Amusements will be open from six to ten Thursday, Friday and Saturday night, with armbands costing $14 each night.  There will also be Bingo, a Cakewalk, and DJ Gene Hanks.  Thursday night will feature the 4th annual Tractor Show beginning at five pm.  

On Friday,the 13th Annual Car Show will have registration from six to eight and awards at nine.  Burnout competition starts at 6:30. On Saturday, the ORDC will sponsor a 5k/2.5 k run and walk beginning at eight am, with registration at seven.  The cost on race day is $20.  If you pre-register at Odin Village Hall before race day the cost is $15 plus a shirt before race day.  The annual parade will be at 5:30 Saturday night.  Line-up at the school is at five pm.  The Memorial Day Flag Dedication will be at seven Saturday night.
