Mick McGuire and Chris Brown Fund Raiser Set For Saturday
Jeannell Charman is one of the members of the Salem High School Class of 1968 who is helping to put together the event for their classmates Mick McGuire and Chris Brown. "It will be starting at 11 o'clock with registration for a washer tournament. The tournament will begin at 12:30. The in ground pits have already been dug on the north side of the Elks. We'll be serving pork barbeque and Italian pork sandwiches all day," said Charman. "We have some major raffle items, including a set of tires from Salem Tire, a smart TV from Salem Travel and a shotgun from Rural King, a lot of great items."
Charman says some of the smaller items will be awarded Saturday, while the raffle will continue on the larger items through the Little Egypt Festival. The event is open to members of the Salem Elk's and invited guests. It will continue through 11 Saturday night.
