Marion County Sheriff Releases Monthly ReportMarion County Sheriff Jerry DeVore has released his monthly report for June.
The sheriff reported six burglary, 11 theft, four fraud, one identity theft, and 14 criminal damage to property complaints. The department also received reports of one criminal sexual assault, three batteries and four domestic batteries. The department handled 22 animal complaints and investigated 29 suspicious vehicle and 39 suspicious person reports.
Sheriff's deputies were called to 31 property damage and nine injury accidents during June. 149 traffic stops were made during the month, with 46 total citations issued. They included 24 for speeding, four for driving under the influence, and five for driving on suspended or revoked license tickets being issued.
