Marion County Mobile Home Tax Liens About To Be Filed
Marion County Treasurer Patti Hahn will begin filing liens this week on those who have not paid their mobile home taxes. She reports this is the last chance for those who haven't paid to do so without incurring the additional fees brought on by the tax liens.
Once a lien is filed, the delinquent bill will be increased by $100, which is the fee to release the Mobile Home lien. The Treasurer's Office mailed 3,073 mobile home bills for 2012 on March 8th, 2012. All mobile home bills were due on August 15th, 2012. The county is in preparation to file 366 liens.
Payment must be made in Room 105 at the Marion County Treasurers Office, by mail or at the drop box on the West side of the Courthouse. Office Hours are 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday with the exception of holidays. If visiting the courthouse, please remember to leave your cell phone in your vehicle.
Hahn hopes to mail the 2013 mobile home bills in March.
