Marion County Drug Court Drop Out Sentenced To Six Year in Prison

By Bruce Kropp

A 23-year-old Farina man has been sentenced to six years in prison.

Trent Parker of East Monroe had the sentence imposed after being removed from Marion County Drug Court. Parker had pleaded guilty to two counts of residential burglary and a single count of burglary in order to get into drug court. He admitted to breaking into the Charles Ritter and Kimberly Lane homes in Kinmundy as well as a car owned by Nicklas Simmons on May sixth of this year.

Parker had initially gotten in trouble in drug court for having a positive drug test. He then allegedly failed to show up for the program, resulting in a petition to revoke his probation being filed against him. Parker was held in the Marion County Jail after being arrested on the warrant.
