Little Egypt Parade Preview

By Bruce Kropp, WJBD News

The parade line-up is set for the Little Egypt Festival.  Parade chair Troy Cannon is pleased with the wide variety of entries in the parade that will step off down North Broadway from Bryan Memorial Park beginning at two Saturday afternoon.

"We've got 80 or so odd entries. Groups like the Antique Power Club along with the floats and bands we usually have, it's going to be a nice parade" Cannon said.

Cannon says the parade line up will begin at 12:30 Saturday afternoon in the park.  The line up is available in the "For your information"  section of WJBDradio.com.   Cannon is in the process of setting up a map that will show entrants where they need to lineup in the park.

WJBD will post the map on the website when it comes available.  The theme of this year's parade is "Inspiration".    The grand marshalls are Chari Decker and Zack Hays who drew considerable attention when they served as Salem High Prom King and Queen because Hays has Downes Syndrome.

The parade will travel down North Broadway and then west on West Main to Indiana where the parade will break up.

WJBD-FM 100.1 will have live coverage of the parade.
