Lighted Christmas Tree Sold at Menards Being Recalled

A certain brand of Christmas tree is being recalled by Menards Stores after issues with overheating and electric shock were reported by customers. The Illinois State Fire Marshal issued a warning about the trees, which were sold under the "Enchanted Forest" brand, on Tuesday.

The recalled trees are 7 1/2 feet tall with 400 champagne colored diode lights, it's model number is 287-1261 and its UPC Code is 741895425478. If you believe you may have pruchased one of these trees, check the box or the red tag attached to the tree for those numbers.

The tree was sold exclusively at Menards Stores for around $300 between September and November of this year.

The State Fire Marshal advises customers who purchased this particular tree to unplug it and return it to Menards for a full refund.
