Lifestar Ambulance to Hold “Home for the Holidays” Program

By Will Doolin, WJBD News

Lifestar Ambulance Service, Inc. of Centralia will holding their annual “Home for the Holidays” program this year.  Lifestar will transport people from Skilled Care Facilities and other persons that are disabled, bedridden, or wheelchair-bound to their relative's homes for the holidays at no charge.  The program is done yearly at Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Lifestar will schedule a pickup time and a drop-off time for residents to return to their residents after spending time with their families.  If the individual is a resident of a Skilled Care facility, the family may need to sign a release.  Family members wanting to use the service will need to contact their loved one's nursing facility to find out the protocol.

Those families wanting to utilize the program may contact Lifestar Ambulance Services at 532-2474.  You may contact them from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday the week before the holiday to schedules times for pickup and return.  Those wanting their loved ones to stay over will be accommodated.
