Kaskaskia College Drops Men's Soccer Program

By Bruce Kropp, WJBD News

The Kaskaskia College Board has suspended the men's soccer program for an indefinite period of time beginning July first.

The move does not impact the women's program and the men's program can be re-established at a later date.  The college will honor student scholarships for the balance of the fiscal year and provide assistance as requested for transition to other collegiate programs if they so desire.

The board accepted with appreciation a donation of Basecoat Paint from Kuder Auto Body of Centralia for the Auto Collision program.  The paint had a value of $965.

The board hired Brittany White as administrative assistant for the educational program at the Centralia Correctional Center.
