By Bruce Kropp, WJBD News

The Kaskaskia College Athletic Department will honor the 2013 KC Dairy Judging Team at halftime of the Men's Basketball game this Wednesday.  The KC Teams will take on Great River Atheltic Conference rival Rend Lake College with the women's game starting at 5:30 p.m. and the men's game starting at 7:30 p.m.

The Team recently finished as National Champions at the International Postsecondary Dairy Judging Contest at the World Dairy Expo in Madison, Wisconsin.  Students on 15 different teams from across the US placed 12 classes of dairy cows in six different breeds and presented four 2-minute sets of oral reasons in competition.

The KC Team was made up of students Jessica Telgmann (Strasburg), Morgan Wendling (Altamont), Brett Woker (Greenville), and Dylan Reed (Vandalia) and Professor Aaron Heinzmann.
