By Bruce Kropp, WJBD News

A 35-year-old Johnsonville man was injured in an early Thursday morning single vehicle crash on Illinois Route 15 near Wayne County Road 200E in the Wayne City area.

State Police say 35-year-old Phillip Ray was eastbound on Route 15 when he left the north side of the roadway.  He was attempting to drive the pickup truck back on the roadway when it began to overturn.  The truck overturned multiple times before coming to final rest upright on the south side of the roadway.  Ray was transported from the scene by the Wayne County Ambulance to Crossroads Community Hospital in Mt.Vernon for treatment of injuries.

In addition to the Illinois State Police, the Wayne County Sheriff's Department and the Wayne City Fire and Rescue responded to the crash scene.   The wreck occurred at 12:32 Thursday morning.
