Johnson City Resident Injured in Centralia Crash Friday

By Bruce Kropp, WJBD News

A 33-year-old Johnston City resident was injured in a two vehicle crash in Centralia Friday afternoon.  Centralia Police say Richelle Craig was northbound on South Elm when she made a left hand turn onto 13th Street cutting off a pickup truck traveling in the lane next to her.  The truck driven by 61-year-old Gerald Murphy of Jeff Road in Walnut Hill then struck Craig's car in the side.  Craig was taken to St. Mary's Hospital in Centralia for treatment.  She was ticketed for making an improper turn at an intersection, no insurance, and no valid registration.  Murphy escaped injury.
