Jefferson County Crash Sends Three To HospitalThree people were reportedly injured in a one vehicle crash on Route 37 at the Game Farm Road south of Mt. Vernon early Saturday night.
Jefferson Rural Firemen say Tyler Crawford of Dix ran off the road and hit a tree after colliding with an oncoming northbound car that reportedly left the scene. Two of the occupants of the vehicle were still trapped inside when Jefferson Rural and Mt. Vernon City Firemen arrived. They were able to quickly remove a door to free the two persons in the vehicle. The passengers were identified as teenage juveniles from the Mt. Vernon and Dix area.
All three were taken to Good Samaritan Regional Health Center in Mt. Vernon for treatment.
The Jefferson County Sheriff's Department handled the wreck. Reports are not yet complete. The crash occurred at 6:27 Saturday night.
