Iuka School to Host Benefit for Student Fighting Cancer
The Iuka Grade School will be hosting a benefit for one of their students who has been diagnosed with a rare form of cancer. Pre-K student Katie Crouch has been diagnosed with retinoblastoma, a cancer in the the retina of the eye.The Katie Crouch Benefit Night will take place on Thursday, January 17th at 6 p.m. at the Iuka Grade School during the boy's basketball game vs. Raccoon Grade School. There will be drawlings, prizes, 50/50, raffles, and great food and fun. There will be a dance and cheer by friends of Katie from Iuka Grade School and surrounding schools in her honor.
All proceeds from the benefit night will go to Katie's family to help pay for expenses. Modern Woodman of America will be matching money raised by the school up to $2,500. For more information or if you have questions, contact the Iuka Grade School's main office at 618-323-6233.
