Indiana Authorities Confirm Body Found In Submerged Truck Was That Of Randall Super

By Bruce Kropp

Indiana authorities have confirmed the body found in a submerged truck near Terre Haute is that of 57-year-old Randall Super.

The Cove, Arkansas man was last seen alive leaving the Mt. Vernon Denny's Restaurant last July and had become the subject of a large missing persons search in the days that followed. Indiana officials say the death is not suspicious.

Super's truck was found Wednesday in a body of water visible from Interstate 70. A passenger in a truck spotted the bumper of the vehicle protruding out of the water and checked the license plate. He contacted Mt. Vernon Police when the google search indicated the truck was associated with the missing persons report filed by Mt. Vernon Police. In turn, Mt. Vernon officials notified the Clay County, Indiana Sheriff's Department which recovered the truck and discovered the body.

The truck had apparently ran off the road through a fence, struck a tree, rolled over several times and landed in a body of water. Super was on his way to Ohio, so I-70 was on the route of his trip.
