Illinois Businesses Produce More in 2012

Illinois' economic activity continues to rise.  That's according to the Bureau of Economic Analysis which reports Illinois' gross domestic product rose by just under-two-percent in 2012.  That puts Illinois 26th among all 50 states.  However, the pace of Illinois' gain was slower compared with the Great Lakes Region and the nation as a whole.  In 2011 the state's GDP rose by more than two-percent.
