Humans Remains Found in Lawrence County

Human remains have been found in southern Illinois earlier this month.  The remains were discovered in rural Lawrence County just north of U.S. Route 50 on November 7th.  An autopsy was conducted on the remains; however no positive identification has been made at this time.  

DNA has been taken to the Illinois State Police Crime Lab for analysis and comparison to known missing persons in the area, including Edward Hataway of Olney, who was last seen September 16th, 2012.  Anyone with information regarding Edward Hataway or the remains found are encouraged to contact the Illinois State Police at 217-342-2292 ext 201.
