Human Remains Found in Southern Illinois Identified as Missinig Olney Man
11/29/2012 @ 1:46 PMHuman remains that were found in southern Illinois earlier this month have been identified as a missing Olney man. The Illinois State Police Thursday identified the body to be Edward E. Hataway, who was reported missing on September 20th, 2012. His remains were discovered in rural Lawrence County just north of U.S. Route 50 on November 7th. An autopsy was conducted earlier this month; however no positive identification was given until DNA results were conducted at the state crime lab. The Illinois State Police and the Olney Police Department is continuing the investigation.
